Scholarships At Dartmouth College
By: Amber HeardAttending an ivy league doesn’t have to result in a huge hole in your wallet. In order to receive
as much aid as possible—especially from top-tier universities such as Dartmouth—it is crucial to
complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA); College Scholarship Service
(CSS) Profile; and Institutional Documentation Service (IDOC) in a timely manner. It is also
important to be diligent about your search for outside scholarships as they can have a significant
impact on financing your education. A majority of the scholarships offered from Dartmouth and
other ivy leagues are need-based and amounts range from $1,000- $50,000 depending on your
eligibility.
Here are some additional scholarships offered at Dartmouth:
Dartmouth Endowed Scholarships: Some Dartmouth students will be selected to receive one
or more of 750 endowed scholarship funds. No separate application is required. Students who
receive this scholarship write their donors a thank-you note annually and even have the
opportunity to network with them.
Army ROTC Scholarships: Scholarships may be either full-tuition or room and board in
addition to monthly stipends for military expenses depending on your rank:
1st year, $300 per month
2nd year, $350 per month
3rd year, $450 per month
4th year, $500 per month
In addition to these scholarships, there are grants that student can apply for in order to finance
