News in Education: Obama Signs New Sweeping Education Bill
Earlier this week, Congress passed a bill that changed education policy in the United States. People are now speculating the effect it will have on the common core curriculum and the subjects taught in class. Some applaud these new changes, but others are skeptical.

A Scholarship Sunday...
The Coca-Cola Scholarship Program offers scholarships to outstanding students to attend any school of higher education, including community colleges. 150 scholarships of $20,000 are awarded each year to students who intend to attend traditional colleges and universities, while 200 scholarships of varying amounts are awarded to students at community colleges. The application is now closed, but juniors - think about this for next year!
