JIF Fellows Madison and Emma provide an overview of the Joyce Ivy Foundation and Summer Scholars program, the benefits of attending a summer program while in high school, and how to apply to the Summer Scholars program. They also discuss their own Joyce Ivy Summer Scholar experiences, at Harvard Secondary School and Cornell University.

JIF Fellows Jasmin, Neha, Emma, and Abbee discuss the essay writing process for the Summer Scholars application, including essays you may use for other summer program applications. They go through the essay topics for the Summer Scholars application, and each provide advice on how to write successful essays and showcase your authentic self in your application. These are great tips not just for summer program applications, but college applications as well!

JIF Fellows Jasmin and Emma go through general application tips for the Joyce Ivy application. They go in depth on how to highlight diversity in extracurricular activities, how to make the most of recommendations, preparing for standardized testing, and navigating financial aid. They share their personal experiences with these different aspects of the application, going into specifics for the Joyce Ivy, as well as general information for college applications.

In this webinar, Joyce Ivy Fellows talk specifically about the Summer Scholars Program, and how to go about choosing a summer program that works for your lifestyle and interests. Scholars can choose from Barnard, Brown, Cornell, Emory, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Stanford, Smith, WUSTL, and Yale. Fellows highlight their experiences at a handful of these universities, going into detail about expectations and their own personal experiences and advice for future scholars.
