They also discuss their own Joyce Ivy Summer Scholar experiences, at Harvard Secondary School and Cornell University.

They go through the essay topics for the Summer Scholars application, and each provide advice on how to write successful essays and showcase your authentic self in your application. These are great tips not just for summer program applications, but college applications as well!

They go in depth on how to highlight diversity in extracurricular activities, how to make the most of recommendations, preparing for standardized testing, and navigating financial aid. They share their personal experiences with these different aspects of the application, going into specifics for the Joyce Ivy, as well as general information for college applications.

In this webinar, Joyce Ivy Fellows talk specifically about the Summer Scholars Program, and how to go about choosing a summer program that works for your lifestyle and interests. Scholars can choose from Barnard, Brown, Cornell, Emory, Harvard, Johns Hopkins, MIT, Stanford, Smith, WUSTL, and Yale. Fellows highlight their experiences at a handful of these universities, going into detail about expectations and their own personal experiences and advice for future scholars.
