Innovation is a characteristic that many of our Summer Scholars demonstrate as high school and college students. They are comfortable taking leadership and intellectual risks, standing up for an idea or a cause, creating an organization and leading when the challenges look difficult yet the result will make a positive difference. They demonstrate courage in a unique way that is authentic to who they are and who they are becoming.

Innovation is simply taking an idea and expanding upon it with our own unique thoughts. To develop our knack for innovation we have to:

Being an innovator is possible for everyone, but it does require actions that can disrupt our habits and push our comfort level. But the benefits outweigh any momentary discomfort that we experience.
