Here's the update from Allison:
Hello, Joyce Ivy family!
As I begin my junior year (how did that happen?) at the University of Pennsylvania, I am thrilled to be taking on an expanded role as “Senior Fellow” within the Joyce Ivy Foundation. In this capacity, one of my main responsibilities will be to manage projects within the new team of Joyce Ivy Foundation Fellows. I am so excited to begin working with the tremendously talented group of twenty-five young women who have been chosen to participate in the Fellows program. Each member brings a unique element to the mix, and I truly believe that this team will do very big things this year.
In terms of other life updates, I am continuing to pursue my degree in Health and Societies (concentrating in Global Health) as well as a minor in Hispanic Studies here at UPenn. After an extremely invigorating summer that took me all around the world – from Iceland to Spain with a few stops in between – I returned to Penn and closed out most of the warm months by continuing my job at Undergraduate Admissions and starting an internship with a healthcare IT start-up company.
In the upcoming weeks, you will be able to read autobiographical blog posts from each of our twenty-five JIF Fellows. Stay tuned!
