- WashU spends about $550 million to fund research every year, and often has upwards of 3000 research projects going on in any given year. The greatest areas of focus are in the fields of medicine, entrepreneurial studies, environmental research, and plant science.
- There are several a capella groups on WashU’s campus, including one called the Aristocats that only sings Disney music!
- At the biannual Undergraduate Research Symposium, students can present their research findings to peers and professors, and can even get funding for original research.
- As an undergraduate at WashU, you can be admitted into the College of Arts and Sciences, Olin Business School, School of Engineering and Applied Science, or the Sam Fox School of Design and Visual Arts.
- WashU is home to a total of fourteen academic libraries.
- Here, you can get a combined undergraduate and graduate degree at the Olin Business School or School of Arts and Sciences, which means that you can get both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in a shorter amount of time.
- WashU is home to several unique majors, such as the Philosophy-Neuroscience-Psychology major and the major in the Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities.
- There are 8 sororities and 11 fraternities on WashU's campus, and about 2000 students total participate in Greek Life.
