Girls can be both girly and smart. There is no reason to have to choose between the two. That's what Pree Walia, creator of Nailbot, decided at least. With her creation, girls can not only learn how to program, but they can also learn to associate beauty and brains together, and learn that it does not have to be "beauty or brains", which is a common thing to hear about women pursuing a career in the male-dominated STEM field.

A Scholarship Sunday...
The Gates Millennium Scholarship offers scholarships to minority students (undergrad to graduate, including Ph.D.s) with a GPA of 3.3 or higher. 17,000 students have received this scholarship since it was first created. The deadline to apply is January 13, 2016.
