Scholarship Saturday: Coca-Cola Scholarship Program

Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation

(Just when you thought Coke couldn't get any better...it did)

Since 1989, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation has been giving out scholarships for talented high school seniors to attend college. They are looking for individuals who are leaders in their communities and have shown a clear dedication to service and academic excellence. They award 150 scholarships of $20,000 each year (that adds up to 3 MILLION DOLLARS), as well as hundreds of thousands of dollars to students who attend community colleges.

In receiving a Coke Scholarship, you're joining a legacy of outstanding scholars and leaders: seniors who receive these scholarships usually find themselves at top schools such as Harvard, Duke, Yale, Stanford, and Princeton. In addition, over the past 27 years the Foundation has built up a network of over 5,000 distinguished alumni that are all a part of the Coca-Cola Scholars community.

The application process is quite selective, as it includes a separate application and essay, a semifinalist selection process, and interviews.

There are also 200 scholarships available to students who attend community colleges across the nation, ranging from $1,000-$1,500.

This scholarship is merit based; financial need is not taken into account during the selection process.
