Colleges Featured at JCAS 2016

By Brittany Carlson, JCAS coordinator

It’s hard to believe that in just over three months, the Joyce Ivy Foundation will be hosting its FIFTH annual Joyce Ivy College Admissions Symposium (JCAS) at Washtenaw Community College on May 6th and 7th! This great event brings together high-achieving female high school juniors and their families, high school counselors, community-based organization leaders, and admissions officers and alumni from highly selective colleges and universities for a two-day, interactive college access and admissions event.

Planning is well underway and we are overwhelmed by the number of colleges and universities who have already agreed to attend JCAS, and meet and work with all of YOU! Each Tuesday from now until JCAS in May, we will be highlighting one college or university who will be present at JCAS. This will give you a sneak peek into what makes this college or university special and will point you in the direction of finding out more information. We hope you use these posts as a launching pad for creating your own college list and brainstorming questions you might have for the admissions representatives from these respective institutions when you meet them IN PERSON at JCAS!

Over the next three months, plan on stopping by the JIF Blog every Tuesday to learn about:

-Yale University
-Johns Hopkins University
-University of Pennsylvania
-Barnard College
-Wellesley College
-Mount Holyoke College
-Stanford University
-Duke University
-Kalamazoo College
-Dartmouth College
-Princeton University

And of course, you’ll meet representatives from these institutions in May!

We would like to note that these Tuesday posts will be replacing the current College Spotlights until JCAS is over. As some colleges repeat, look at this as an opportunity to learn even more about that college!
