Study Abroad: Stanford operates a study abroad program called the Bing Overseas Study Program in 11 cities around the world.

Sports: Stanford has 36 varsity teams and 26 club teams. About 900 students participate in intercollegiate sports.
Fun Fact: If Stanford was a country, it would have placed sixth in the 2016 summer Olympics.

Campus Housing/Greek Life: Housing is guaranteed for four years for entering freshmen. 97% of undergraduates live in on-campus housing. About 25% of students join one of the 16 fraternities or 14 sororities.

Popular Clubs & Activities: Many Stanford student activities focus on cultural aspects. There are six cultural centers: Asian American Activities Center, Black Community Services Center, El Centro Chicano y Latino, LGBT Community Resources Center, the Markaz: Resource Center for Engagement with the Cultures and Peoples of the Muslim World, Native American Cultural Center and Women's Community Center. In addition, the Haas Center for Public Service is a university-wide service, scholarship, and community center unique to Stanford. The student newspaper, the Stanford Daily (http://www.stanforddaily.com/), and the student government, the Associated Students of Stanford University, are also very popular.
